Launch of Children First publications 31 July 2008

Children now have a stronger voice on issues that affect them, through the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Barry Andrews TD, who attends Cabinet meetings.

The OMCYA focuses on harmonising policy issues that affect children in areas such as early childhood care and education, youth justice, child welfare and protection, children and young people's participation, research on children and young people and cross-cutting initiatives for children.

 

Growing Up in Ireland

11th September 2008 - Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, Barry Andrews T.D., launched the rollout of Growing Up in Ireland – The Infant Cohort, marking the beginning of research with 10,000 nine-month-old infants and their parents from across Ireland.
